BACKGROUND

This project was born of the college experience, but applies to most of the country.
I joined the ParkStash team when they already had a prototype mobile application, and were working closely with their university to solve some major parking problems. My role on the team was to create new business opportunities, and innovate new features to attract new clients.

OBJECTIVES

> Create new business opportunities and revenue streams for the team.
> Innovate new features and offerings for customers.
> Oversee east coast expansion and parking inventory growth.

The Problem Being Solved

It's well known that finding a parking spot in any situation can quickly escalate into a massive time-waste. This problem is particularly evident for university students, and event-goers. On the other side of the market, you have private parking spaces (driveways, lots, car ports...) that could be turned into money-making property for their owners.

University Solutions

Finding parking on campus is always a daunting task. Of the 30 students we interviewed, all expressed frustration with having to spend 15+ minutes a day looking for parking. By showing the live capacity/vacancy of garages and lots, we have cut down the circling around time by over 50% on the campuses we've integrated into. During times of peak demand (sports events, graduation...), on-demand parking off campus is a valuable asset to these universities.

Woodward Dream Cruise

As the largest car show and cruise in the world, you can imagine parking is quite the hassle. With 1.5 million attendees every year, the cruise takes place along 6 miles of Woodward Avenue. By partnering with the Woodward Dream Cruise, the event can now source and organize parking from all the restaurants, churches, schools, and homes along the event route.

> Expand enterprise platform to allow event/campus managers access to insights and analytics on their platforms.
